Small, consistent, measurable improvements lead to large changes over time.
The Deliberate Progression protocol reduces the scope of progress down to the smallest atomic unit of progress: the rep. Can I complete this rep? It's reps all the way down. You can spend all kinds of time structuring the "perfect" workout or diet plan, but progress ultimately comes down to making small, measurable improvements over and over and over again.
Did you do one more rep than last week? Progress. Did you eat less than you burned today? Progress. Did you lift more than you lifted last week? Progress. Did you weigh more than you weighed yesterday? Progress.
Those little tiny atomic bits of progress are almost never apparent unless you're tracking that data. But over long stretches of time, they become impossible to ignore.
